Class Sessions Begin 6 Times Per Year
In our nursing program, new general education sessions begin about every eight weeks and new nursing major cohorts start three times per year. With multiple new sessions per year, you’re not restricted to starting school in just Fall or Spring. Our nursing students have the chance to start the baccalaureate degree program when the timing is right for them.

Brandon Corley serves as the Executive Director of the Phoenix campus and is the Campus Administrator responsible for campus and academic operations. He brings more than 20 years of higher education experience and prior to joining Arizona College, served as the Regional Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Student Services, and Chief Strategy Officer in the field of higher education. He has spent his career managing teams, directing campuses, and leading organizations in many different areas. Brandon also serves as a Board Member of the Arizona Private School Association.
Brandon has served as a senior-level operations, finance and strategic executive and have extensive experience leading and mentoring teams, managing department and campus operations, and providing strategic planning. He has a diversified background with extensive experience in higher education, nonprofit leadership, process and project management, and leadership development.
Brandon considers the greatest factors in determining success or failure to be attitude, communication, and adaptability, and Brandon enjoys working with others to help them attain their educational and professional goals.

Prior to joining Arizona College in 2025, Mat served as the Vice President of Global Operations at The King’s College and Regional Director of Operations for Grand Canyon University. Moreover, he has held leadership positions in University Admissions at Academy of Art University and University of Phoenix. Mat also served a post overseas building the admissions framework for a prestigious new university in Saudi Arabia called NEOM U.
As Executive Director of Enrollment Services, Mat oversees campus operations, and the office of admissions.

Dr. Tadzia Dennis has earned five degrees in her educational career, including an AA, BS, an M.Ed., an M.Ed., and a Ph.D.. She has over 20 years of higher education experience in student affairs, leadership management, and academic affairs, and was awarded Faculty of the Year in 2016. Dr. T. is extremely passionate about her students and higher education. She does all she can to support them and help them succeed in their educational journey.

Cheryl McInerney, MSN, RN has spent her 34-year career in nursing working to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities, including vulnerable and underrepresented populations, in a variety of settings. The last 13 years have been in nursing education as a professor and administrator in nursing education programs serving non-traditional students. Dean McInerney considers it a privilege to help prepare the next generation of nurses for practice. She describes her practice as “outcomes focused using data and best practice evidence to guide decision making”.
Dean McInerney has presented at several academic conferences and poster exhibits including at the National Conference of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and The Silverman Symposium of the Silverman Institute for Health Quality and Improvement at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been the recipient of the Massachusetts Nursing Association’s Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice and the Faculty of the Year Award from Bay State College.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Dean McInerney relocated to the sunny skies of Arizona to take the role of Dean of Nursing at Phoenix. She has five adult children and six grandchildren. Her eldest son is a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and her youngest daughter is a registered nurse working in pediatrics.

As a nursing student, we know you’re busy. That might mean eating lunch or dinner before your next nursing degree class, or the need to take a coffee break. Our nursing school is next to Bell Road, just minutes away from dozens of restaurants and stores. Nearby restaurants include: Starbucks, Chipotle, Raising Cane’s, and Bagel Gourmet. On campus, we have Canyon Cafe and Grill, a popular cafe with students located in the school’s building.
Our nursing college offers a break-out area to socialize or study with convenient snacks/beverages for purchase.

Directions From Downtown Phoenix to Arizona College of Nursing – Phoenix
The driving distance from Downtown Phoenix to Arizona College of Nursing – Phoenix via I-10 and I-17 is about 19 miles and takes approximately 26 minutes.
- Starting from near the Margaret T. Hance Park, get on Interstate 10 heading west for about 2 miles, keeping to the two right-most lanes to merge onto Interstate 17 North toward Flagstaff.
- Follow Interstate 17 North for about 12 miles, then use the right lane to take Exit 212 for Bell Road, and take the next left to merge onto North Black Canyon Highway East.
- Arizona College of Nursing – Phoenix is located inside the Enterprise Place building on your right.
