Education: Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, South College | Master of Science in Educational Leadership, Nova Southeastern | Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, University of Central Florida
Dr. Calavetta brings a diverse background in education leadership, student support, and instructional development. Prior to joining Arizona College of Nursing, she served as an assistant principal and held district-level leadership roles in K–12 education, where she focused on student achievement, instructional support, and program development. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating opportunities for student success and promoting equitable access to education.
After joining Arizona College of Nursing in 2024, Dr. Calavetta served as a general education instructor at the Melbourne campus, working directly with students to strengthen the academic skills and confidence needed for success in nursing education. Her classroom experience provided valuable insight into the student journey and further strengthened her commitment to student-centered learning.
As Dean of General Education, Dr. Calavetta now leads the general education department at the Melbourne campus, supporting faculty, promoting academic excellence, and helping students build the strong educational foundation needed to thrive in their nursing careers. She is passionate about empowering students with the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary for long-term success.
