Our Nursing Traditions
The path to becoming a nurse is filled with special moments, and these ceremonies are our way of honoring the traditions that make our profession so meaningful.
Nurse’s Pledge: Join your fellow graduates in reciting the modern version of the Florence Nightingale Pledge. It is a heartfelt promise to uphold the values and responsibilities of nursing, and to confirm your commitment to ethical nursing practice.
Pinning Ceremony: This cherished tradition signifies the completion of a nursing program and marks your official entry into the nursing profession. Your Arizona College of Nursing pin is a symbol of your commitment to excellence in patient care. Pinning is a rite of passage, signaling your transition from student nurse to professional nurse, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Faculty Recognition: This is our chance to say thank you! We give special recognition to the wonderful instructors, clinical mentors, and faculty members who have guided you, believed in you, and been your biggest cheerleaders throughout your journey at the College.
