The teachers and administration of Arizona College really do care about us. In my first month of school, the Dean had a meeting with me to see how I was feeling. I don’t think I could find that level of support anywhere else.

What inspired you to pursue a career in nursing education?

“I started my nursing career in 1986. I started out in Geriatric Nursing and absolutely fell in love with the senior population. Because both sets of my grandparents passed before I was old enough to know them, these geriatric patients became my “extended family”. To assist them with not only their physical needs but their emotional needs was extremely rewarding. I can’t begin to tell you how many life lessons I learned from those Seniors I provided care for. I believe they helped shape me into the nurse educator that I am today! I always had a love for teaching and once I found nursing education, I knew it was the perfect avenue for me to bring my years of nursing experience into the classroom and help teach, shape, and nurture our future nurses! I feel honored to be a member of such a great profession and a part of future nurses!”

What makes Arizona College of Nursing different from other nursing schools in Ohio?

“Arizona College of Nursing cares about the success of their students. Because we have small class sizes, we can give each student individualized attention and guidance to be successful. We have a thorough and well thought out system that really sets the students up for success. Most of all, we care about each student and pride ourselves into taking the time to prove it.”

What support resources are available to nursing school students at the Cleveland campus?
