Helpful Tips for New Allied Health Students
As you take your first step toward an exciting and fulfilling career in allied health, be sure to keep these helpful tips in mind to make your educational experience here at Arizona College as valuable and rewarding as possible.
Utilize our school’s Career Services Department! Career Services can provide you with resume assistance, mock interviews to help you land your dream job, and even job leads. Stop by the Career Services office as soon as possible (even if you just started your program) and let them provide you with job-focused guidance throughout your training.
To make funding your education a bit more affordable, be sure to look into various sources for financial aid. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov as soon as you can to see if you qualify for federal grants or state aid.
At Arizona College, the cost of textbooks is included in tuition. Our student resource center has printed and online materials available to help with tests, papers, etc.
Develop good study habits. Remember to take thorough notes, go over the material daily, attend class faithfully, and participate fully in the classroom. Also, be sure to take advantage of lab time and get some face time with your instructors!
So whether you’re an aspiring Medical Assistant or you’re interested in a career in Massage Therapy or Health Information Technology, contact Arizona College to learn more about your resources as a new allied health student.
